Did you get a chance to see the movie WALL-E?? I watched it in the theater with my kids and it scared me to death! I have then seen it several more times at home on random cable channels and it still scares me to death! Are we really going to end up driving rascals, sipping big gulps while communicating via computer to the person sitting next to us??
It is starting to seem that way....
When I started in sales in the early 90's I didn't even have a computer at my desk. We had files and a telephone and we were in charge of our own accounts. I used to make 50 calls a day to set up at least 20 in person appointments a week.....I am starting to realized those good ol days are LONG GONE!!
I am scared to say that the marketing TEAM for Brow Betty is ME. Yep, yours truly right here at this computer and honestly I would secretly love to just put an ad in the paper and call it a day. BUT WALL-E WORLD has stepped in and complicated my very simple life. I have been thrown on a train called "SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING" and I can either enjoy the ride or get thrown off and try and find a horse and buggy to find my way back home.
I thought I was ahead of the game with my Facebook page. (Brow Betty now has more "friends" than my husband HA!) and now for the past few weeks we have been TWITTERing (@browbetty) and now I have been told by my social marketing media savvy friends that I soon should be blogging and podcasting. I am now logging 2 hours a day in JUST social media marketing trying to get as many "followers" as I can!!!
When does the madness end??
Is it strange that I know what pajamas Ashton Kutcher is wearing or what party PDiddy just rolled into?? In real time??? I twittered a play by play of NY fashion week through Women's Wear Daily and felt as if I was sitting right next to Gwennyth and Madonna clapping for Lagerfeld.
I will do all that I can to get one more client through our BROW BETTY door... because I TRULY believe that once you come in for a wax that you will never want to go anywhere else. So if you see me, my rascal, big gulp and computer sitting there when you come in....you will know that I am twittering with Oprah, Craveportland and Richard Branson just so I can keep up with the Kardashians!
Thank you again SOO much for all of your support! It is what keeps the Brow Betty magic alive!!! Now call and book your next appointment!
Sincerely,
Jackie Mans
Owner
P.S. Our best "walk-in" days are Sunday and Monday...so if you are like me and prefer to walk in rather than make an appointment then definitely try these days!
