A GREAT ANNIVERSARY PARTY!!

My cup really does runneth over! I am so exhausted from such a fun anniversary party yesterday but it was sooo worth it!! My hubby thought I was crazy decorating the "wheel" and having clients spin to win prizes after their services.... but watching people whoop and hollar like they just won the lottery was SOOO hilarious and fun! We had 3 big winners that landed on the "FREE SERVICES" slot right away and I was right there screaming with them (which they thought was even funnier because I was LOSING money!!) We gave away over $500 worth of services and products for the day but it was so worth it because the amount of people that were there and the new clients that walked in the door were above and beyond what I could have anticipated. I looked like crazy cat lady in the corner whipping up batches of cotton candy...(I had to wear protective glasses, my sunglasses, and had cotton all up in my hair!) Gayle thought I was insane and that no one would want cotton candy but I made about 8 batches all day producing about 40 cones....THANK YOU THANK YOU to those that came out and supported us!! I am so proud to be here, be open and thriving in this crazy economy and we just couldn't do it without all the love and support from our followers!! This day was for all of us and to make up for SNOWSTORM 08 that still haunts me in my dream just days after we opened our doors last year!!

A YEAR?? Really??

As most of you know (or sadly, have heard) I am a little bit LOUD, a little bit CRAZY, SUPER fun (in my opinion) and honestly I live my life each day as if it was going to end tomorrow. So when Chris and I put together Brow Betty last year...in this crappy economy...on a shoestring budget....with MAJOR PLANS for the future..... some of our family and friends thought we had gone off the deep end....

The best comment came from "another biz" in our own area that said to one of OUR CLIENTS....." they will never make it...who goes somewhere to get their eyebrows done? ...they will be gone in 3 months...." (that business by the way has a FOR LEASE sign on the front door now....not that it makes me feel better...but...ya know...a little fuel to our fire..)

Our vision for Brow Betty that we had in our head and on paper a year ago is still the same...we had to tweak a few things here and there with suggestions from clients or our team but for the most part we are still growing each and every day! We kept it simple and easy.....no facials, no massages, no haircutting....just waxing. When you do something as delicate as waxing brows 20+ times a day for 5 days a week....you become an expert. This is what Brow Betty has...EXPERTS!
A year ago, we found 6 FABULOUS women who were willing to take the risk with us and here we are a year later!!! We are SO thrilled to not only be staying alive during this recession/depression but to be hiring a 7th team member THIS WEEK to keep up with our demand!!
